Despite the early morning snow, Wimbledon did a great job of ensuring this fixture went ahead. Wrapped up against the cold, Cheam played some great hockey during the first half, managing to convert some sustained pressure into a convincing 4 goal advantage at half time. Two goals from Charlotte Windett, followed by cool strikes from Marie Beall, and Anya Losyk on the whistle for half time. The scorers take the glory, but they were supported by some strong performances from Megan Lewis bossing the Wimbledon attack and Daria Ditri using her speed to get behind their defence and set up three of the goals. The only "blemish" on the half was a nasty injury to Laura Sallabank's eye, which means she won't need to wear eye shadow for a while...(Get well soon).

The second half was much more of a scrappy affair, with both teams feeling the effects of the cold, and much of the action taking place in the middle third. Cheam mounted some attackes, and only a goal line clearance prevented Charlotte's hat-trick. Wimbledon reduced the arrears with a penalty flick, which seemed the only way past Emily Neden, who provided great reassurance to the Cheam defence.

Cheam have now beaten every other side in the league, having reveresed their only defeat earlier in the season, and continue to score at a impressive rates even in tight games.
