Cheam Mens 1s 1 - 4 OC's Mens 2s

We arrived at OC’s on a cold and wet remembrance Saturday. In true Churchill style Willy, our

leader, sent out our top secret team sheet late on a Friday in traditional Morse code! ……steve..-- -

…bolly….erm …bolly, shags” piss up and brewery” quote was legendary. We sat pitch side discussing

the battle ahead, unaware that the ladies game before had been put back an hour due to their

emergency late shopping in Kingston and a quick stop at starbucks. This led to us having far to much

time in the changing rooms listening to ….well I cant really describe the play list ???? inspirational ??

mmm not sure about that , but at least we walked out to a cry of “ war , what is it good for ! !

Unfortunately, as soon as we crossed the white line we forgot that message and went to a more ,

here OC’s , its nearly Christmas, have a few one on ones on us , to be fair, we should really have

been 2 down in the 1 st 5 minutes. Thankfully in true cheam style , the war cry went out and we dug in

and took the battle to them. We played some lovely flowing hockey and were very unlucky to go 2

down. Enter , stage left, Koan , with a huge flick, which went from deep in our half to the top of their

d, where it was taken down ,round the keeper in 1 touch and hit on the reverse whilst diving no less

by a young Jamie Weston, absolute class ! The half time chat was therefor very positive. Second half

was quite strange, you knew something wasn’t right but you couldn’t quite put your finger on it,

they scored a scuffed drag from a short and a lucky rebound off a decent save…not bitter at all !!....

So… plus signs to take out of the game…cheams future is in good hands, Jamie and Will G were pure

class, again ! Bolly is now rob and doesn’t go where I ask ollie to go, ollie made it out of the changing

room without bleeding to death, The boom box in the changing room sounded great, music was

pants but it sounded good! Higgo shags and tanners covered every part of the astro , again and

again, willy and smeagal had a run out after injury and mabin modelled his t-shirt/ skirt beautifully .

However, the final word has to go to our slippery Casanova, aka Russell the legend , who , whilst

managing to fall over 3 times all on his own , he thankfully managed to slip and cheeky diamond on

to his lovely ladies finger. Congratulations young man , from all the boys
