Best trainer this week
A long-awaited return of Keddie this week. The award goes to him.
and who let themselves down this week?
Villain of the piece has to be Chris Blackmore. All set to make his league debut, only to decide that a trip to Kent (Kent!) was more important. Some people never fully recovered from 'Nam. Can Lil' Chris come back from this gigantic scheduling disaster?
What are we expecting on Saturday?
A difficult game. As opening fixtures go, it doesn't get much tougher. Guildford pushed us hard twice last season (D 3-3 and W 3-2) and were the only team to take any points from us last season. Just ask Blossom. He had a pretty close view of the home draw...
What are we hoping for
Goals. They could come at both ends (depending on knees mainly), but James Morris, Bender, and Brandi have all been prolific in seasons past. Oh, and there's 34-goal Goalman up front as well.
Prediction
There will be lots of outstanding hockey, beer, and blazer/tie combos involved (possibly, but not definitely in that order). All in all, it should be a top day for some refreshingly middle-class sporting activity.
