Gents,
The result last Saturday was hugely disappointing, and it was such a gutting way to lose the game. Each week we show that we can compete against any team in this league, and quite rightly so the opposition comment about how playing against us is the toughest test they encounter. Results will start to go our way if keep positive and have the belief.
Against Surbiton, we had one shot and no short corners which is just isn’t enough. Also, our movement in and around the opposition D has still got to be better. As an attacking unit we need to continue having the belief that we can score goals and create more opportunities, by putting the oppositions defence under pressure so they panic and make mistakes.
Therefore, we continue to consider and concentrate on the following when playing;
• Play knowing that every umpire decision is going to go against us
• Reset quicker on free hit/side line/16 situations as we are far too slow to get into position, both when we have the ball and especially when they have it
• Play to and beyond the whistle, don’t stop when a mistake has made or a shot saved, we should be reacting to every situation no matter what, so as to keep the pressure on
• Do something game changing
