U8s go unbeaten again!

Another tournament, another day of goals and victories!

The Under 8s trekked across to Royal Russell School in Croydon for this festival, facing teams from Kenley, Purley Walcountians and the hosts, Addiscombe. With a few colds going around, we had a small squad of seven for the six-a-side event. Most grateful to Jodie stepping up to make her debut at short notice, so we could have a sub!

Four wins and two draws from six matches, great effort!

While the 'highlights' might go to George scoring most of the goals and Vaughan doing most of the saving, it's important to recognise the midfield in between them who pulled it all together with great chasing, tackling, pressure, passing, teamwork - all the hard work which creates the opportunities for goals, and to block the shots at our goal. Every player had their own highlights and contributed greatly to the team!

And then best of all, out came the sweets! (photo)
