Note
1) Organisational re-structuring meant the temporary re-deployment of resources (#Garyallen and James Root) to other teams.

2) The team arrived for their 'home' fixture at Reed's School. Everyone remarked that we were overjoyed to see a phenomenal looking waterbased pitch, only to be crushed by the realisation that we were instead playing on their 2nd pitch / beach.
Action - Ask the Fixtures Sec to stop being rubbish and book us onto better pitches.

3) The team was stunned to find that the Guildford team were even younger, (yet probably stronger) than the team we had played last season. With parents lined up on the sidelines, our mission was to silence the crowd, and send the kids home in tears.
Action - Consider revision of possible inappropriate minute before circulation.

4) Guildford started strongly, and forced a goal-mouth scramble during which the post was hit, and Blossom was heard shouting, 'what the hell just happened?' Evan also cleared a flicked effort off the line in the first of numerous acts of heroism.
Action - Find out 'what the hell happened' during that phase of play, and work on during training.
Preceding Action - Get people to actually come to training.

5) Chris Powell aka Mike Brown marked his first league game for Cheam with a smart finish to cap a decent spell of pressure, making it 1-0.
Action - Follow up with Mike for a brief regarding his progress on the Rugby World Cup side-project he mentioned.

6) Richard Goalman made it 2-0 in typical style, smashing the backboard with a firm strike.

7) During our half time Thought Shower, the team felt they had ridden their luck somewhat, but could do better in the second half and win the game well.

8) Goalman scored two more, securing a first hat-trick of the season. He was accused of being 'smug' by the opposition defence after crashing in his third.
Action - Commission a study into Goalman's smugness and feed back to the group at next week's meeting.

9) Just before Close of Play (the last attack of the game) one of the Guildford forwards glided through a couple of tackles and dinked it over Blossom into the goal. A real shame as the team had defended superbly in holding off a young and skillful forward line. Guildford will have a strong season.

10) Beers were enjoyed back at Cheam after. Evan deservedly won 'Man of the Match' as everything he was tasked with was actioned with impressive efficiency. His line manager will be informed, though his absence next week will not go unnoticed.
Action - Check Annual Leave charts. Why are both Blossom and Evan in Romania next week. Who signed this off?

11) 'Shashi of the Day' was shared between Bender and Blossom. Bender duly lost the Gin-Face tie-breaker, so took the accolade. Feedback from the team indicated that Bender's total incompetence with a camera helped seal his fate.

Action - Draft a note of thanks to Guildford HC for a positive meeting, and request a follow-up meeting on 16th January 2016.
