Battle of Battersea Park

After a spell in the hockey wilderness that is the USA, rumour went round that Bender was so keen to play, that he went straight to the pitch from the airport. His flight landed on the on the Friday evening.

Spencer would argue that they pushed us hard for the win, and they certainly did. Mainly in the back, and with alarming regularity. Perhaps we were too nice and honest, but our opponents took advantage of two inexperienced umpires by serving up what can only be described as 70 minutes of filth. The highlight of which was when the Spencer right back ran a full 40 yards to push Pube over in the D.

Maybe in the past we'd have somehow found a way to not win this fixture, so it's to our credit that we kept playing hockey the right way, and picked up the three points.

With no teas this week, Dick of the Day Blossom was lucky enough to have dinner bought for him, and chewed his way through a tasty looking G and B.
