This course will give you the skills and confidence to put your hand up and help out the club by being able to umpire a match, whether it be for the juniors or for our adult section. Remember, we can't have a game with out umpires. And it's money in your pocket when you do!

The course will be running on Sunday 15th December at 9am and will last until around 4:30pm. The theory side of the course will begin at Cheam Sports Club (Peaches Close) with a practical element held down at the astroturf at Nonsuch High School.

This course is open to everyone, players, parents, hockey fans, Cheam/non Cheam.... all are welcome!

You will need to apply via the England Hockey Website (link below), and will cost £55. Every attendee will get a whistle and cards along with the course material, so you'll be ready to get out there and umpire straight away.

This is a great platform for us to increase the amount of umpires that we have at the club, and to increase your own knowledge of the game that we all love to play and watch. There are limited numbers on the course, so we do encourage you to get the date in your diaries and sign up as soon as you can.
