Summer Hockey Leagues 2019

Across the off-season, there are several social leagues we field teams in to keep active, with all in close proximity.

Summer Leagues run from May through to August.

The matches take place on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings at 8pm and 9pm at Purley Walcountians Hockey Club.

Cheam are running a men's team, a ladies team and a mixed team. (Captains - James Root, Rachel Maloney, Rachel Maloney)

Men's Over 40s League runs from May to July, on Wednesday evenings - 7.30 or 8pm. (Captain - Scott Ferguson)

Summer league is a friendly competition and the teams are open to all abilities.

Summer league is a great way to keep your stick skills sharp through the summer break. Please also use it as a chance to bring along friends as it is a good way to introduce new players to the club. Both venues have on-site bars for post-match liquid replenishment.

If you are interested please make sure you sign up to the teams via the club website. Umpires are also required for each match, so if you would like to get more officiating practice in a more casual setting, this is an ideal place to do it.
